What Drone Documentation Can and Cannot Tell You About a Roof

Aerial images give contractors and property teams a closer visual record. The images need the right professional interpretation.

What can be recorded

Whole-roof context, visible roof sections, edges, ridges, vents, gutters and requested details when safely visible. Before-and-after coverage can document changes in the same area.

What the images cannot establish

Hidden moisture, subsurface conditions, structural adequacy, code compliance, watertightness, repair cost and cause of loss are not established by standard visual aerial photos.

Use descriptive observations

Name the location and what is visible. Keep a filename reference with any note so a contractor or inspector can find the original. Source images are not altered to create or remove defects.

Choose the right scope

Tell us whether you need visual documentation or a licensed/technical service. Thermal, engineering, survey or diagnostic requirements need a separate fit review before quoting.

See the output before you decide
